Doug Morton

In his current role, Mr. Morton and his team are responsible for CSA Group’s relationship with governments at all levels in Canada, and increasingly in the U.S., ensuring that public policy objectives are supported by the organization’s offerings, including standards development, education, and research.
Mr. Morton has over thirty-five years of executive management experience in a variety of market sectors with internationally renowned companies such as Siemens AG and Bell Canada. He also has extensive global experience, having lived and completed assignments in Europe and the Middle East.
Mr. Morton is a former member of the Standards Development Organizations Advisory Committee to the Standards Council of Canada, and was also a member of the Strategic Advisory Group on Security at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in Geneva. He also serves on a number of advisory groups of the American National Standards Institute based in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Morton has served as a board member of Neuro-Vision Sciences Inc. at McGill University in Montreal; industry executive member of the President’s Advancement Council of The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto; and is past Chair of the former Medical Imaging and Information Systems Council of Electro-Federation Canada.
