Matt Dickinson is a sustainability executive recognized for pioneering decarbonization in one of the world’s most complex industries—marine container terminals. As Sustainability Director at Fenix Marine Services in the Port of Los Angeles, he spearheaded a strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. Within two years, he cut annual emissions by 67,000 metric tons, transitioned all fossil fuel-burning equipment to renewable fuels, and deployed the world’s first hydrogen-powered Top Handler into live operations. Positioning Fenix as the cleanest terminal in CMA CGM’s global portfolio of 53 terminals. His work has been featured in Boss Magazine for setting a new international standard in terminal sustainability. With certifications in energy management, carbon accounting, renewable energy, and sustainable development, Matt continues to lead innovation at the intersection of energy resilience, zero emissions, and operational excellence.
